French actress, Vimala’s first training in sport and classical guitar, she then began university studies in History of Art in Paris 4 then History of Cinema in Paris 8 before joining the free class, the Cours Florent then trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique de Paris (CNSAD) and a year at the Center National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC).
Since 2013, Vimala Pons has evolved through young independent cinema and arthouse cinema, playing alongside New Wave and new generation directors such as La Fille du 14 juillet and La Loi de la Jungle by A.Peretjatko; Marie et les naufragés by S.Betbeder; Vincent n’a pas d’écailles by T.Salvador – Les Métamorphoses by C. Honoré; Comme un avion by B.Podalydès; Elle by P.Verhoven; Terre Battue by S. Demoustier; 36 vues du Pic Saint Loup by J. Rivette; Vous n’avez encore rien vu by A.Resnais; À l’ombre des femmes by P.Garel; Les Garçons Sauvages by B.Mandico among many others. Between 2016 and 2020, she will work again under the direction of B.Mandico, S.Demoustier, but also D.Attal and Santiago Mitré. In 2018, she composed the original music for the medium film Allons-Enfants by Stéphane Demoustier, with Tsirihaka Harrivel.
At the same time, Vimala has been writing and designing performative circus shows since 2010 with her partner Tsirihaka Harrivel.In 2017, they created GRANDE-, a contemporary circus show whose tour lasted 3 years and ended in March 2019.To be published: in autumn 2020, on the Trans-Cachette Tapes label, a first audio book: “Mémoire de l’Homme Fente”.
