Synopsis
An Omnibus film with stories about people who are connected to bicycles. A middle-aged bicycle racer, Oshima, is not yet old enough to retire, but he is not able to follow the new ways of living. Nagisa, a female fisherman in her thirties, goes out to sea every day. One day, she finds a bicycle washed up on the beach. Sunako and Hiroshi, who grew up in Tamano City, work at a shipyard. Hiroshi quits his job and starts working at a stylish shaved ice shop.
Biography
Born in Tokushima, in 1984. In 2007, Tsuta made his first feature Yume no shima and won the Audience Award at Pia Film Festival. The film was well-acclaimed at film festivals around the world. In 2013, he made The Tale of Iya. The film got many awards including the Grand Prix at Tromso International Film Festival and Special Mention at Asian Future section of Tokyo International Film Festival.
